For a high temperature with feeling very unwell, call 111. Call 999 now for chest pain that does not go away, signs of a stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech), struggling to breathe or collapse.

The working

Born 12 February 1962

On 31 March 2027 this person is 65, and people who turn 65 by then are on the list, so they can have it from 1 October 2026. Born 1 May 1980 with nothing ticked, they would be 46 and not on the free list; ticking a long term condition changes that.

Getting it

Adults can usually go to their GP surgery or a pharmacy. School age children are usually offered it at school, and children aged 2 or 3 at the GP surgery. Most children have a nasal spray rather than an injection. Some pregnant women can have it through their maternity service. The last date for this season is 31 March 2027.
