Appointment countdown

Days until your next appointment

Add the date of your next midwife appointment or scan and the result counts down the days and shows how many weeks pregnant you will be on the day. Write questions down as they come up and bring your maternity notes; you can always call your midwife between appointments.

The working

Weeks from your last period

Each milestone is a week number on the NHS schedule. From a last period on 1 August 2026, the dating scan window (11 to 14 weeks) is 17 October to 13 November, the 20 week scan window is 5 December to 7 January, and full term starts on 17 April 2027.

You can always call

Your midwife or maternity unit is there between appointments. Changes in your baby's movements, bleeding, fluid leaking or feeling unwell are reasons to call, day or night.
